Glasshouse Inn & Lodges
A Message for Our Loyal Customers
Thank you for the support as we trialled our takeaway service. We were overwhelmed by the response and we do not want to let you down. However it is with regret that Jill and I have decided to close the doors of The Glasshouse Inn until further notice. For some time now we have found the workload increasingly difficult and it has been a struggle to survive as a country pub. Unfortunately we are not in the best of health and being over 70 we are both in what is classed as the vulnerable age group. Regardless of what precautions can be put into place for a takeaway service, we feel it is necessary to close not only to reduce the Coronavirus risk to ourselves but moreover to you, our loyal and very much valued customers.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best in the current times and we hope that should better ones come, that we may be able to welcome you back to The Glasshouse Inn.
Stay home and stay safe
Steve and Jill
Welcome to Glasshouse Inn & Lodges
The Glasshouse Inn is a charming red bricked pub in a picturesque spot on the slopes of May Hill surrounded by beautiful countryside. The Inn has been trading as a public house since 1891 and its strength lies firmly in its simplistic, unspoilt, almost timeless tradition. We have an excellent reputation for fine food and ales in a traditional pub atmosphere surrounded by beautiful countryside. We pride ourselves on ensuring that our fish, meats and fresh ingredients are sourced from local suppliers and are of the highest quality. We aim for excellence with every meal and look forward to welcoming you.
Steve & Jill Pugh took over the Glasshouse Inn in December 1996 and have turned the Glasshouse Inn into one of the best pub and restaurants in the area. High quality food is served in comfortable and traditional surroundings. The traditional pub & restaurant has grown steadily in popularity over the years with people travelling far and wide to sample the delights of this unique establishment.
Please note, with the exception of Guide & Assistance Dogs, Glasshouse Inn does not permit dogs inside.
